The position will be responsible to demonstrate SMI's long-term commitment to developing sustainable communities through innovative community investments and collaborative partnerships by ensuring sustainable institutional development interventions to Indigenous Cultural Communities and barangay local government units during the construction phase.
This is a 1year project employment based in Tampakan.
Specific Personal Accountabilities:
Sustainable Development Practices
  • Ensure effective implementation of the project’s sustainable development standards and systems within own area of responsibility to positively contribute to nurturing the organization’s culture on sustainable development.
Community Development
  • Demonstrate SMI’s long-term commitment to develop sustainable communities through innovative community investments and collaborative partnerships during construction phase.
Team Membership
  • Actively support team and organizational programs to promote a performance-driven culture within the department.
  • Ensure that all community development programs have efficient controls, monitoring, and coordination in place to manage and sustain ongoing compliance with relevant internal, regulatory and legislative instruments.
Reporting and Communication
  • Ensures compliance and timely submission of required weekly, monthly and other special reports.
  • Prepares documentations (such as minutes of meetings, SIRs and activity report) in various engagements with host and neighbouring BLGUs and ICCs.
Cost Management and Accountability
  • Ensure prudent and judicious use of the company’s resources without compromising the delivery of quality service in an effective and efficient way.


  • Graduate of any 4 year course, preferably Social Work, Public Administration, or any institutional development related degree.
  • With at least 7 years of experience in community organizing, training design and completion report production, training facilitator, project proposal preparation, trade and industry development, and institutional development involving LGUs and ICCs is required.
  • Strong community organizational, training and capacity building skills.
  • With knowledge on business planning, financial management and cooperative formation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • With people skills particularly in collaboration; strong in training and mentoring especially with LGUs and ICCs.
