TENEMENT AND PERMITTING SUPERVISOR

Based in General Santos City, the role is tasked to ensure dutiful compliance with regulatory obligations and commitments to stakeholders in order to maintain the company's tenements. The role is also in charge of securing the necessary and applicable permits and licenses in order to move the Project towards construction and development.

Key responsibilities:

1.   Sustainable Development Practices – Ensures effective use of the Project’s safety and environment-friendly standards and systems within the work area of responsibility to positively contribute to nurturing the organization’s sustainable development culture.

2.   Tenement and Permitting Management – Oversees and supervises the compliance of FTAA tenement obligations including its permitting aspects.

Assists the superintendent to ensure that all mandatory obligations under the FTAA and other components of the Tampakan Copper-Gold Project are fully complied with.

Secure all necessary permits for the Tampakan Copper-Gold Project by implementing the permitting plan.

Facilitate administration and logistical requirements of all related activities.

3.       Internal Legal Support – Provide internal legal support services based on the mandate of the Legal and Compliance Department

4.   Cost Management – Ensure prudent and responsible cost management of activities within budget framework.

Key requirements:

A graduate of Bachelor of Laws

At least three (3) years working experience in tenement compliance and permitting with mining companies

At least five (5) years minimum experience in a national government agency and one (1) year in a local government unit

Experience in document control is preferable

Working knowledge of mining-related laws and regulations particularly RA 7942, Department Orders of DENR / MGB / FMB / LMB / NWRB / NIA / PPA / LRA ad RA 7160 and other environmental laws, rules and regulations both national and local

Familiar with infrastructure projects and process flows

Proficient in MS office

Good oral, written and communication skills

Efficient and effective in dealing with government agencies
