Tampakan, South Cotabato — Sagittarius Mines Inc. (SMI) once again extended its commitment to community development through the turnover of medicines and medical supplies to the Barangay Health Center, as well as office equipment including tables and electric fans to the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Office of Barangay Datalblao, Columbio, Sultan Kudarat last May 6, 2026.
The initiative aims to further strengthen basic healthcare services in the barangay while also supporting the youth leaders in creating a more comfortable and functional working environment for community service. Through these efforts, SMI continues to help improve the daily lives of residents, especially those living in far-flung and underserved areas.
The turnover activity is part of SMI’s continuing commitment under its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), which focuses on delivering meaningful programs and assistance to partner communities. For years, SMI has remained a reliable partner of Barangay Datalblao by supporting projects that promote health, education, youth empowerment, and community welfare.
In his message, Barangay Captain Datu Zahir Mamalinta expressed his gratitude to the company for its unwavering support to the community.
“SMI is our partner for a long time under the SDMP program, and we have received a lot of goods for today. With all this, it is a manifestation of our continued partnership in the community. I have nothing else to say, but thank you,” he shared.
Residents and barangay officials warmly welcomed the assistance, recognizing its importance in helping local frontliners provide better healthcare services and in strengthening the capacity of the SK office to serve the youth sector more effectively.
