On October 9, 2026, Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI) turned over school supplies and slippers to Kindergarten and Grades 1 to 3 pupils of Lam-alis Elementary School. The initiative aims to help address some of the learners’ basic school needs while providing their families with additional support as they work to give their children better opportunities.
Behind every young learner is a family hoping for a better tomorrow. Each day, parents make sacrifices to support their children’s education, while teachers help them discover their abilities and reach their potential. By extending assistance to the pupils of Lam-alis Elementary School, SMI hopes to contribute to this shared effort, helping children continue learning and take small but meaningful steps toward their dreams.
Raymond S. Dianga, school head of Lam-alis Elementary School, expressed his gratitude to SMI for extending assistance to the learners.
“Maraming salamat, SMI, sa inyong ibinigay na tulong sa Lam-alis Elementary School. Malaking tulong po ito sa mga bata dahil mayroon na silang magagamit sa araw-araw nilang pagpasok sa paaralan,” Dianga said.
The initiative forms part of SMI’s Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), which supports education and community development in the host and neighboring communities of the Tampakan Project. Through these efforts, SMI works with local communities to help address identified needs and create opportunities that contribute to residents’ well-being.
