TAMPAKAN, South Cotabato – Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI) enthusiastically wore orange last December 12, 2022, the national “Orange Day,” in culmination of this year’s 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government – Regional Office XII.
As a bright and optimistic color, #OrangeDay is a multi-year effort aimed at preventing and eliminating violence against women and girls worldwide.
The campaign calls on government, civil society, women’s organization, young people, the private sector and the media to join forces in addressing the global pandemic of violence against women.
For its part, SMI promotes awareness, takes action to end violence against women and provides a safe workplace that is based on mutual respect, fairness and integrity.
Moreover, the Company does not tolerate any form of bullying, harassment or physical assault and workplace discrimination. (30)
