Saludo Kami! Sagittarius Mines, Inc. congratulates its 19 new scholar-graduates

Tampakan, South Cotabato - Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI) proudly announces the graduation of its 19 scholars from the Blaan Indigenous Cultural Community (ICC) of Sbangken and host Barangays of Tablu and Danlag in Tampakan, South Cotabato and host Barangay Abnate in Kiblawan, Davao del Sur.
 
SMI gave them allowances and/or supported their tuition fee requirements for a four-year college course.  The SMI scholars who graduated this year were:
 
1. Angelica G. Arandillo, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology at the Southeast Asian Institute of Technology, Inc;
2. Dominic P. Collado, with a Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education degree from the Golden State College-Koronadal City;
3. Jomarie M. Felecia, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Major in Marketing Management, at Korbel Foundation College, Inc.
4. Jingky D. Puli, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Major in Marketing Management, at Green Valley College Foundation, Inc.; 
5. Melody D. Puli, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Major in Marketing Management, at Green Valley College Foundation, Inc;
6. Sherlyn M. Arevalo, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Tourism Management, at STI College Koronadal;
7. Dennis B. Ayuban, with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in Mathematics, at Southeast Asian Institute of Technology, Inc.;
8. Dessa D. Ayuban, with a Diploma in Midwifery at Golden State College of General Santos City;

Under its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), SMI provides financial aid to talented and deserving students to give them access to educational opportunities that are not normally available to them.
 
For School Year 2023-2024 alone, a total of 1,354 underprivileged but deserving elementary, high school and college students from its 11 host ICCs and 10 host barangays received scholarship grants from SMI. Among these scholars, around 390 were college students.
 
Since 1997, the company had already invested more than PhP1.4 billion in financing various projects and activities that are aimed at improving the socio–economic, health and educational conditions of the communities where the Tampakan Project is located. (30)
