SMI received the Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award in 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013.
If approved, the mine is estimated to yield an average of 375,000 tonnes per annum of copper and 360,000 ounces per annum of gold in concentrate over 17 years.
