Columbio, Sultan Kudarat — In a joyful show of support for education and community empowerment, Sagittarius Mines Inc. (SMI) provided honorarium incentives to educational workers in Barangay Datalblao, Columbio, Sultan Kudarat on May 6, 2026, reaffirming its continuing commitment to community development and quality learning opportunities.
The recipients included selected Madrasah teachers, high school teachers, and day care teachers who tirelessly serve learners across the different sitios of Datalblao. Despite the challenges of teaching in remote communities, these educators continue to dedicate their time, passion, and effort to shape the future of the youth.
Through its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), SMI continues to strengthen its support for education by recognizing the important role of teachers in building empowered and progressive communities. One of the recipients, Ms. Ginalyn Malid Pelez, LPT, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Barangay Datalblao and SMI for the assistance.
“Malaking tulong po ito sa amin, kaya maraming salamat sa Barangay Datalblao at sa SMI. Makakaasa po kayo na mas pagbutihin pa namin ang pagtuturo sa mga bata para magkaroon sila ng mas magandang kinabukasan,” she shared.
