Tampakan, South Cotabato – Residents of Barangay Poblacion, Tampakan expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI) following the turnover of a fully equipped medicine cabinet, a vertical steel filing cabinet, and essential medical supplies, which will help enhance the barangay’s healthcare services and ensure better access to basic medical needs for the community.
The turnover activity was held on January 28, 2026, at the Barangay Hall of Poblacion, Tampakan, and was attended by barangay officials and SMI representatives. The support is expected to strengthen the barangay’s capacity to provide timely and organized healthcare services to its residents.
Kagawad Michael Ross, Barangay Committee Chair on Health, expressed appreciation for the support extended by SMI. “This donation will greatly help our health workers in providing timely care to our residents. Having organized access to essential medicines ensures that our community can respond more efficiently to health needs,” he said.
The initiative forms part of SMI’s continuing corporate social responsibility efforts, which aim to promote accessible healthcare, safety, and improved quality of life in its host and neighboring communities.
