Tampakan, South Cotabato – The barangay local government of Danlag in Tampakan, South Cotabato on Monday, January 20, 2025, expressed gratitude to mining firm Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI), for its continued support and partnership in various social and development projects for the community.
During the celebration of the 35th Barangay Foundation Anniversary and 6th Kadulumasag Festival, Punong Barangay Judith Magbanua cited SMI for providing scholarships, various community development projects, and other opportunities for her constituents.
SMI, through its 2025 Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) have allocated a total of P300,000 fund to support the basic education needs of local schools, namely, the Danlag Elementary School, Danlag National High School and Datalbiao Integrated School.
The mining firm also donated P175,000 fund for the success of the host barangay’s anniversary celebration.
“Daghang salamat sa atong partner – ang Sagittarius Mines, Inc. sa padayon nga pagtabang sa barangay,” Punong Barangay Judith Magbanua said during her speech.
Meantime, Barangay Kagawad Glema Eroy also expressed her thanks to SMI, acknowledging the company’s contribution to the barangay’s education program which greatly benefitted the youths in the community.
“Madamo gid nga salamat sa SMI sa pagbulig sa barangay para sa edukasyon sang amon nga kabataan,” Kagawad Eroy said. (30)
