Tampakan, South Cotabato – Tribal communities in the upland Blaan Indigenous Cultural Community of Sbangken and the Barangay Local Government of Tablu, in Tampakan, South Cotabato have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI) for its invaluable support for the success of the monthly medical mission and outreach program held last August 15, 2025.
SMI has been instrumental in ensuring that basic health services reaches the residents of interior Sitios Bato, Tokaymal, Datal Mangisi, and Sitio Log deck. These include free immunization, pre-natal services, family planning services, and medical consultation.
“On behalf of Barangay Tablu health workers, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to SMI for their invaluable support in providing the needed transportation for the medical mission team to deliver different health services in the interior communities,” Ms. Ruby Jane Sudio Midwife II of the Department of Health’s Human Resources for Health Program said.
“Your commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind, regardless of location, leaves remarkable and lasting gratitude in the heart of the community. The transportation support has not only enabled timely medical services but has also brought hope to those who often face barriers in accessing healthcare,” she added.
The SMI-Community Partnership is a major component of the mining firm’s Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) reflecting SMI’s broader mission of bringing sustainable care and support to its host and neighboring communities within the Tampakan Project area.
Through strong collaboration with its host communities, SMI continued to help deliver health and hope closer to those who need it most.
