Tampakan, South Cotabato — Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI) continues to demonstrate its support for community-based education initiatives through its partnership with the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) of Tokaymal Elementary School during the conduct of the Tokaymal Elementary School Family Day and Christmas Gift-Giving Activity at Sitio Tokaymal, Barangay Tablu, Tampakan, South Cotabato.
Held on December 18, 2025, the activity formed part of SMI’s ongoing efforts to promote the well-being of learners and their families in its host and neighboring communities. Organized by the school’s PTA, the event brought together pupils from daycare to Grade 6, along with their parents, fostering a spirit of unity, celebration, and shared responsibility within the school community.
To make the celebration more meaningful for the children, a special Christmas gift-giving activity was held, where learners received simple but useful presents that helped brighten their holiday season and reinforced the value of generosity and care within the community. The gift-giving segment complemented the day’s family-oriented activities, creating moments of joy for the children while strengthening bonds among parents, teachers, and SMI as a development partner.
As part of its continuing commitment to community development and education, SMI provided food supplies and cooking utensils to support the school’s feeding program, as well as health kits for the children of Tokaymal. Additional assistance included slippers, a high-breed solar panel, and plastic monoblock chairs, which are expected to help improve school facilities and support daily school activities.
Tokaymal Elementary School Teacher-in-Charge Archie Labado expressed his gratitude for the support extended by SMI, noting that the company’s contributions made the Family Day and Christmas Gift-Giving Activity more joyful and meaningful for the learners and their families. He emphasized that the assistance helped ease parents’ concerns and highlighted the importance of strong partnerships between schools and stakeholders in bringing hope, care, and encouragement to every learner.
