COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SUPERVISOR
As a Community Development Supervisor, the staff will be at the forefront of fostering sustainable communities, demonstrating SMI’s commitment to sustainable communities through innovative corporate social investments and collaborative partnerships. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to social development.
This is a regular role based in Tampakan, South Cotabato.
Specific Personal Accountabilities:
1. Sustainable Development Standards – Ensure effective implementation of the project’s sustainable development standards and systems within own area of responsibility to positively contribute to nurturing the organization’s culture on sustainable development.
2. Community Development - Demonstrate SMI’s long-term commitment to develop sustainable communities through innovative community investments and collaborative partnerships during construction phase.
3. Team Membership – Support team and organizational programs actively in order to foster a performance-driven culture within the department.
4. Compliance – Make certain that all community relations initiatives have effective controls, monitoring, and coordination in place to manage and sustain continuous compliance with appropriate internal, regulatory, and legislative instruments.
5. Reporting and Communication
•
Ensures compliance and timely submission of required weekly, monthly and other special reports.
•
Prepares documentations (such as minutes of meetings, SIRs and activity report) in various engagements with host and neighboring stakeholders.
6. Cost Management and Accountability Ensure the careful and sensible use of the company's resources without jeopardizing the effective and efficient delivery of excellent service.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
•
Preferably with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, or human relations or community development related course
•
At least 5 years’ experience in coordination, networking and advocacy with government, civil society, people’s organization and community
•
Experience in managing teams and working with various community stakeholders
•
Ability to manage projects efficiently, communicate effectively, and lead community initiatives with a strategic, results-driven approach.
•
Proficient with Microsoft Office and share point applications
