Tampakan, South Cotabato – Residents and officials of Tampakan town in South Cotabato expressed heartfelt appreciation to Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI) for its continued efforts in promoting health, nutrition, and community well-being through sustainable programs that benefit children and vulnerable households.
During the SMI–BLGU Community Feeding Activity held on November 21, 2025, local leaders commended the company’s steadfast support in improving the nutrition of children and promoting healthier communities in Tampakan.
Barangay San Isidro Chairman Armando Serida recognized SMI’s active role in uplifting the lives of residents through its sustained livelihood, health, and nutrition initiatives, describing the program as a big help to children in their barangay.
“Thank you, SMI. Malaking tulong ito sa mga bata dito sa aming barangay. Maraming, maraming salamat!” Serida said, emphasizing how the continued feeding interventions and health support contribute to better nutrition and brighter futures for young learners in San Isidro.
Echoing the same sentiment, Barangay Poblacion Council Committee on Health Chairperson Kagawad Ryan Amorte lauded SMI’s ongoing commitment to health and wellness, noting that the company’s presence is strongly felt in community health activities.
“Talagang malaki ang aming pasasalamat sa SMI! Thankful kami sa SMI,” said Amorte, highlighting how SMI has consistently partnered with barangay officials, health workers, and volunteers to respond to the needs of children, pregnant women, and other vulnerable groups.
For barangay leaders in San Isidro, SMI’s reliability, sustained support, and close coordination with local health structures have made the company a true Community Health Champion in Tampakan.
The feeding activity forms part of SMI’s broader health and nutrition program, implemented in partnership with barangay councils and community volunteers, and complemented by the company’s ongoing support for essential medicines, vitamins, and medical supplies in other barangays in Tampakan and neighboring municipalities.
