Kiblawan, Davao del Sur — Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI) continues to uphold its commitment to uplifting the lives of its host communities by fostering strong partnerships and engaging in meaningful community initiatives.
In Kiblawan, Davao del Sur, SMI has worked closely with the Barangay Local Government Unit of Abnate to provide meaningful support through its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP).
Recognizing the challenges faced by economically isolated and disadvantaged residents, SMI distributed rice assistance to 40 beneficiaries, who contributed through community service during the barangay’s road repair and clearing operations on September 20, 2025.
Barangay Abnate Chairman Wennie S. Pandoy expressed heartfelt gratitude, emphasizing how this aid strengthens community wellbeing.
“Maraming, maraming salamat sa inyo, SMI. Napakalaking bagay itong tulong ninyong bigas para aming mga kababayan,” he said.
