Tampakan, South Cotabato – Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI) reaffirmed its solidarity and strong commitment to community development by supporting a feeding program during the 11th Maskalaya Festival held in Barangay Liberty, Tampakan, on September 19, 2025.
The program benefited 400 residents and was organized as part of the 75th Foundation Anniversary of Barangay Liberty. It aimed to promote wellness, particularly among children and families, while strengthening community bonds amid the annual celebration.
In his speech, Barangay Captain Noli Jalagat thanked SMI for its steadfast support and impactful initiatives addressing the community’s needs.
“Salamat sa SMI sa kanilang walang sawang suporta. Ang kanilang pakikilahok sa ating selebrasyon ay patunay na hindi lamang sila kaagapay sa pagpapaunlad ng ating barangay kundi katuwang din sa pagpapabuti ng kalusugan at kapakanan ng ating mga mamamayan,” Barangay Captain Jalagat said.
The Maskalaya Festival celebrates the values of camaraderie, gratitude, and resilience among the people of Barangay Liberty.
