LEGAL SUPERVISOR- LAND ACQUISITION

This role oversees the legal requirements of the Land Acquisition Team by providing legal advice on documentation, preparing and reviewing all necessary legal documents in relation to the land acquisition program of the company.

The role shall also lead and supervise the implementation of the land conflict resolutions mechanism between the IP’s and Non-IP’s within the Ancestral Land in the FMA area.

This is a project employment contract based in Tampakan.

Specific Accountabilities:

  1. Sustainable Development Practices – Ensure effective use of the Project safety and environmental-friendly standards and systems within own area of responsibility to positively contribute in nurturing the organization’s sustainable development culture and in compliance to ISO 140001 standards.
  1. Land Acquisition and Management – handle all the legal requirements of land acquisition team for all areas that are required for the mining operation, including all related infrastructure and resettlement areas.
  1. Cost Management and Accountability – Ensure prudent and judicious use of the company’s resources without compromising the delivery of quality products and output in the most effective and efficient way.
  1. Compliance – Ensure that land acquisition within the Ancestral domain is in accordance with the FPIC rules and guidelines specifically the Memorandum of Agreement with the ICCs/IPs.
  1. Internal Legal Support – Provide internal legal support services based on the mandate of the Legal and Compliance Department.

Key requirements:

  • The candidate must have completed a Juris Doctor degree and is qualified to practice law
  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in the law practice
  • Has technical expertise in land acquisition and  land titles and deeds registration
  • Has experience in drafting and reviewing legal documents
  • Excellent organizational, leadership and customer service skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
