This role is to manage the design, development, and implementation of effective stakeholder communications plans, programs and activities that would lead to the attainment of SMI’s Vision, Mission and Goals.
The role also responsible to conceptualize and develop efficient communication plans, activities and tools to attain SMI’s Vision- Mission-Goals, effectively reach SMI’s various stakeholder groups and thus promote awareness of and help generate favourable support for the Tampakan Project and the mining industry. This includes the conduct of communication events; development of communication messages, materials and collaterals; and, distributing them through various traditional and social media platforms. Develops proactive, strategic relations with the local and national media as outlet/tool for communicating SMI messages to the public and for generating positive media coverage of the Tampakan Project. Supports all SMI Department in their communications and media requirements. And as well as supervise the operation of the proposed SMI Information Center.
Specific Personal Accountabilities:
Sustainable Development – Provide visible leadership within own area of responsibility through the effective use of the project’s HSEC standards and systems. Support the Tampakan Project Leadership Team by ensuring that owned processes have a positive impact on the project’s culture on sustainable development. Manage risks in the Risk Register.
Project Issues Monitoring – Conduct regular Project and mining industry issues monitoring and assist in responding to said issues with appropriate key messages or comms materials at the national and regional/provincial levels.
Reporting and Compliance – Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
Cost Management – Ensure prudent and responsible cost management within own area of responsibility.
