LAND ACQUISITION SUPERVISOR

This role is tasked to assist and supervise the acquisition of lands within and outside the Project area required for mining operations, infrastructure and resettlement and to assist in the implementation of the land conflict resolutions between the claimants within the ancestral land in the FMA area.

Key responsibilities:

Sustainable Development Practices – Ensure effective implementation of the project’s sustainable development standards and systems within own area of responsibility.

Land Acquisition and Management - Supervise the implementation of the onsite and offsite Land Acquisition Plan and Conflict Resolution Plan to secure land access to the project area.

Cost Management and Accountability – Ensure prudent and judicious use of the company’s resources without compromising the delivery of quality products and output in the most effective and efficient way.

Compliance -  Ensure that land acquisitions within the ancestral domain is in accordance with the FPIC rules and guidelines specifically the Memorandum of Agreement with the IP’s.

Internal Legal Support -  Provide Internal legal support services based on the mandate of the Legal and Compliance Department.

Key requirements:

Any bachelor’s degree;

With at least 3 years of work experience in large-scale land acquisition and management;

Demonstrated technical expertise and functional knowledge of legal processes and compliance requirements affecting land acquisition and relevant activities;

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills;

Established dependability, integrity and probity in the realty industry;

Can exercise a high level of confidentiality and exhibit cross-cultural sensitivity; resourceful, political savvy, and result-driven;

Proficient in computer operations and MS Office applications
