TRAINING AND RECRUITMENT OFFICER

The Training and Recruitment Officer shall undertake, organize and facilitate the delivery of training programs to realize effective and targeted changes in employee performance and meet compliance and business requirements. This role is also responsible for the delivery and execution of the community training plan per FPIC MOA commitment. He/She also handles recruitment and selection activities to ensure that the company attracts, selects and employs the right people at the right time to meet the ongoing performance and growth needs of the business.

Key responsibilities:

Sustainable Development Practices – Ensure effective implementation of the project’s sustainable development standards and systems within own area of responsibility to positively contribute to nurturing the organization’s culture on sustainable development

Training and Development

  • Provide employees with relevant training and development programs by conducting Training Needs Analysis, designing/ developing training programs, and implementing and assessing the effectiveness of the training.
  • Liaise with managers and interviewing employees at all levels to identify and assess training and development needs
  • Facilitate processes for the conduct and attendance of employees to approved training programs, ensuring employees receive statutory required training and supervising and monitoring progress made
  • Assist in the delivery and execution of the community training plan per FPIC MOA commitment

Recruitment

  • Ensure effective application of recruitment standards, guidelines, procedures, and tools to develop ownership and help line managers make sound hiring decisions in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Engage the right person at the right time for the right job through effective implementation of sound and effective recruitment practices.
  • Administration and interpretation of psychometric exams
  • Support workforce planning activities

Onboarding – Ensure constructive assimilation of new hires into the workplace through the implementation of relevant induction program with inputs from line management.

Supplier Management - Execute established processes in managing approved recruitment agencies and professional search firms that can successfully partner with the business to meet specified manpower targets.

Workplace Culture – Engage and support relevant customers in the effective and consistent application of HR systems and processes to help create a performance-driven workplace culture

Compliance – Work with relevant departments/teams to ensure functional practices comply with relevant workplace guidelines, legal/government regulations, and corporate requirements.

Key requirements:

The candidate must be a graduate of BS Psychology or any related bachelor’s degree with at least four (4) years work experience, two (2) years of which have been spent in jobs related to training and recruitment in a company or in a reputable recruitment firm engaged in manpower placement or professional search.

The candidate must also possess the following traits:

  • Effective organizational and teamworking skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
