Location: Polomolok, South Cotabato
Role Overview: Implement SMI’s tax management processes to ensure compliance with Philippine taxation requirements, including CREATE More, Board of Investments and FTAA incentives.
Key Responsibilities:
•Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with governance and commercial controls, maintaining confidentiality.
•External Audit: Ensure tax-related transactions and documents meet reportorial requirements.
•Tax Management: Ensure compliance with Philippine taxation rules, prevent misstatements, and avoid penalties.
•Contracts Review: Assess contracts for tax implications and tax treaty relief.
•Tax Treaty Relief Application: Lodge necessary documents with ITAD.
•Accounts Payable Review: Ensure proper tax applications on transactions.
•Corporate Tax Returns: Prepare, file, and disclose tax returns accurately and timely.
•Internal Control Compliance: Maintain updated tax compliance calendar.
•Tax Records Management: Manage reconcilable monthly tax records.
•External Relations: Maintain relationships with tax experts, advisors, and authorities.
•Tax Information Campaign: Update on court decisions and BIR issuances impacting the company.
•CREATE More, Board of Investments, and FTAA Compliance: Implement processes for availment of incentives.
Key Requirements:
•CPA with experience in tax management and finance functions.
•Minimum of three years in taxation and contracts review
•Experience with tax treaty relief applications is a plus.
•Proficient in integrated accounting packages.
•Knowledge of VAT, EWT, FWT, FBT, MCIT, RPT, LBT, and other taxation rules.
•Strong organizational skills and customer service orientation.
